Neff-Perkins Company was founded in 1946 by Charlie Neff and Tim Perkins in Perry, Ohio where they compression and transfer molded rubber product. Day-to-day operations were run by Charlie where the company primarily produced Engine Seals. Charlie grew the business by adding thin walled diaphragms for the controls market, reservoir diaphragms and brake cups for the automotive industry, and wiper blades for the replacement market. In late 1979, a French Company made an offer to Charlie for the wiper blade business. After the sale of the wiper blade business, Charlie was ready to retire. At this point, Engineering and Production Manager Bob Elly Sr. put a group of seven key employees together to purchase the
