EPCO has been in the Fort Wayne / New Haven area since 1980. EPCO purchased Gilbaum Manufacturing in 1980. Gilbaum had been producing bow and stern eyes for many years before, which makes EPCO the oldest and only US manufacturer of 304 and 316 series stainless steel bow and stern eyes. Gilbaum was the patent holder for its design of a bow eye as well as a lifting assembly. EPCO is the largest single manufacturer of stainless steel bow and stern eyes for pleasure boats in the world. The other products it produces are mooring eyes, lifting assemblies, pontoon plugs / port, hatch cover pulls, and related items.
