The Regional Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor Training (RADACT) Program, founded in 1992, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing training opportunities to individuals beginning their trek towards chemical dependency counselor certification, clinical supervision and administration. The State of Alaska, Division of Behavioral Health (DBH), decided to contract one agency to plan, manage, deliver and evaluate specialized training, to chemical dependency professionals in Alaska. RADACT, awarded this contract in October 1999, provides, coordinates and delivers training to sixteen communities in Alaska; develops distance delivery courses; and collaborates on major training events, such as, the Annual School of Additions and the Prevention
