Hogan's Jewelers has been a fixture in downtown Gaylord, Michigan for 48 years. Ollie and Geraldine Hogan founded the family business on Main Street in 1958 a couple blocks west of its present location at 311 W. Main Street. Ollie and Gerry were very well known faces about town - Ollie's daily walking trips up and down Main Street (often times selling jewelry right out of his vest pocket) are still recalled by long-time Gaylord locals. Gerry's bailiwick was the back room at Hogan's where she took care of the business side and for one period of time even handled the Michigan Secretary of State duties, selling licenses plates from the back door.
