Wyoming Medical Center

Wyoming Medical Center operates the Regional Referral Center to meet physicians' need for a single point of contact. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, dedicated and courteous referral specialists ensure that "one call does it all." Referral specialists gather and disseminate important information and coordinate various arrangements, often saving doctors and their patients critical time. Duties include locating medical specialists, facilitating physician-to-physician consultations, arranging for transportation, completing pre-registration and reserving bed space at medical facilities, providing families with information and making follow-up calls. The Referral Center also serves as the dispatch and communications headquarters for Casper's ambulances and Wyoming Life Flight. ( www.wmcnet.org )
