Center Meat Co. was established in 1952 by owner-operator Eugene Schlesinger. It began as a retail oriented butcher shop with emphasis on complete customer satisfaction. Eugene was able to build into the largest independently owned retail meat company in the Los Angeles - Orange County area. Customer satisfaction was attained with attention to all details. Eugene hand selected each piece of beef for his stores before it left the packinghouse. Each piece of beef was properly aged to insure tenderness.
